Location: Cleveland, Akron, or Wooster, Ohio
Salary Range: $100,000 – $250,000 annually, depending on level and experience

Opportunity:
We are seeking experienced tax professionals to join our Personal Tax Advisory Group in one of our Northeast Ohio offices: Cleveland, Akron, or Wooster.
This posting is intended for candidates at multiple levels, including Tax Manager, Tax Senior Manager, and Tax Vice President. Final title and level will be determined based on experience, technical expertise, leadership capabilities, client relationship experience, and business development background.
Our Personal Tax Advisory Group specializes in serving high-net-worth individuals, business owners, trusts, estates, and fiduciary clients. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated personal tax matters while helping lead client engagements, mentor team members, and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
Responsibilities:
Depending on level, responsibilities may include:
- Manage, review, and oversee complex individual, fiduciary, gift, trust, estate, and related tax engagements.
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and fiduciary clients.
- Research and analyze complex tax issues and communicate recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Manage client relationships and ensure timely, responsive, high-quality client service.
- Direct engagement planning, staffing, workflow, budgets, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Supervise, mentor, coach, and develop staff, seniors, managers, and/or management-level team members.
- Review tax returns, workpapers, checklists, research memos, and other client deliverables.
- Identify client needs, planning opportunities, and areas for process or business improvement.
- Participate in proposal opportunities, networking, referral source development, and business development activities.
- Contribute to firm initiatives, professional associations, community involvement, and practice growth.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates may bring a range of experience. Typical qualifications by level include:
Tax Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
- CPA preferred, but not required.
- 4–6+ years of related tax experience.
- Experience with individual, fiduciary, estate, trust, and/or high-net-worth taxation.
- Strong tax research, analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated aptitude for leadership, relationship building, and client service.
Tax Senior Manager
- CPA required.
- 10+ years of related tax experience; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong experience serving high-net-worth individuals, business owners, trusts, estates, and fiduciary clients.
- Experience with individual, fiduciary, and gift tax compliance and planning.
- Working knowledge of flow-through entity taxation rules.
- Experience managing client relationships and mentoring teams.
- Business development experience or demonstrated interest in practice growth.
- Experience with international tax planning and compliance for individuals is preferred.
Tax Vice President
- CPA required.
- 15+ years of related tax experience; advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive experience managing complex personal tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals and business owners.
- Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships at a senior level.
- Experience supervising and developing management-level professionals.
- Strong business development experience.
- Deep technical knowledge of individual, fiduciary, gift, flow-through entity, and related tax matters.
- Experience with international tax planning and compliance for individuals is preferred.

Benefits/Compensation:
Determining actual compensation relies on many factors including individual candidate experience, qualifications, and comparable benchmarks. Base compensation for these roles typically ranges between $100,000 and $250,000. Additionally, depending on the level of hire, employees may be eligible for discretionary year-end bonuses, incentive compensation programs, and other bonus opportunities which reward exceptional performance.
