What We're Looking For:
General Ledger Accountant II
Ready to expand your accounting expertise and make a tangible impact on regional financial operations?
If you are an experienced accounting professional passionate about accuracy and looking to handle more complex challenges, the Finance team at Zebra Technologies is your ideal next step.

In this role, you are a key contributor to the integrity of our financial statements. You will move beyond routine accounting to analyze complex accounts, actively support the month-end close, and collaborate with various departments to ensure our financial processes are accurate, compliant, and continuously improving.

Resposibilities:

• Support the Regional Close: Be a reliable and active partner in the month-end closing process for multiple legal entities. You will prepare key financial statements, handle complex journal entries, and perform detailed reconciliations to ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
• Contribute to Process Improvements: You won't just follow procedures; you'll help make them better. You will participate in projects to improve accounting processes, help document new procedures, and assist in the setup of new accounts and integrations in our ERP system.
• Uphold Financial Compliance: Act as a key resource for maintaining compliance with global accounting standards like U.S. GAAP and SOX. You will prepare necessary documentation and participate in interim and year-end audits with internal and external partners.
• Analyze Complex Transactions: Go beyond the day-to-day by contributing to moderately complex projects. Your analytical skills will be critical as you help prepare, record, and analyze a wide range of accounting transactions.

Requirements:

• An Experienced Accounting Professional: You have a solid foundation in Accounting or Finance (2-5 years) and are ready for the next level of complexity. You have a Bachelor's degree, and an applicable accounting certification is a strong plus.
• A Deeply Analytical Thinker: You have strong analytical skills and enjoy digging into the details to solve complex reconciliation puzzles.
• An ERP & Excel Power User: You have direct experience with ERP systems and advanced skills in Excel and database management.
• A Proactive Collaborator: You have a working knowledge of accounting principles and are eager to partner with various departments to establish and improve procedures, all while contributing to Zebra's positive team culture.

Incentive Compensation:
In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 5% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
