Position Summary
As a member of the Stop Loss Center of Excellence, this role will be supporting the Stop Loss Underwriting team. In this role, you will help the organization achieve its financial and strategic objectives through effective underwriting practices. Responsibilities include identifying and managing stop loss risk to maximize revenue, membership, and earnings. You will conduct underwriting analysis and perform risk assessments for new and/or renewal of large group contracts.
Applies in-depth knowledge of the Underwriter field to offer feedback for decisions and innovation strategies that enhance organizational growth and visibility.
Prepares and delivers moderately complex new business quotes and/or existing business renewals.
Reviews work for accuracy and recommends pricing and/or alternatives based on financial analysis, underwriting principals, and business strategy.
Assists less experienced underwriters in development of technical skills or specific subject matter.
Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
3-5 years work experience in a relevant industry or function.
Experience and/or exposure to stop loss model / rating tools and processes.
Experience evaluating risk associated with the Stop Loss product.
Working knowledge of execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
Working knowledge of business intelligence
Problem solving and decision-making skills
Collaboration and teamwork experience within a professional work environment
Growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others)
Education Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$46,988.00 - $112,200.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
