About the Position
As a Business Advisor, you will be taking a deep dive into our clients’ businesses to monitor their health and growth. You will meet with clients regularly to help plan, prepare, and execute detailed plans using advanced tax strategies. You will track KPIs and provide useful reports and guidance to drive their businesses forward.
As a Tax Manager during tax season, you’ll prepare complex tax returns, review tax returns, and coach less experienced team members. You’ll ensure the high quality of work our clients expect from us. While reviewing returns, you will instinctually look for tax planning opportunities outside of tax season.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and execute detailed plans using advanced tax strategies
- Prepare/review Individual and Corporate Income tax returns
- Analyze financial transactions to the proper general ledger accounts
- Reconcile all balance sheets and cash accounts
- Perform monthly financial closing processes including preparation of monthly financial statements
- Income and expense analysis
- Reconcile tax liability accounts / Prepare tax worksheets
Job Requirements
- 4 Year Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or EA certification and/or will consider a CPA candidate
- Minimum 3 years of tax experience
- Experience in preparation of individual tax returns
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Possess the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Proficient at QuickBooks
