This position is primarily responsible for post-award grant administration and related project accounting. The position provides internal support and accounting functions to program managers and agency leadership for the organization’s government grants, foundation grants, and restricted donations. This position is responsible to maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and funder requirements. Duties include support of payroll, AP, AR and journal entries; assisting with the budget and audits; completing monthly and year-end grant and fund close procedures, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports as needed. Assists in updating financial policies, procedures, and process manuals. Serves as an active and engaged member of the KOOTASCA team to help advance the agency’s mission of “Building Community to End Poverty”.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related business field.
AP & AR experience with a large organization
Nonprofit fund accounting experience
Applicable experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word required
Schedule/Location
40 Hours/week
Daytime weekday shift- no nights, weekends, or holiday shifts.

Wage Scale of $25.78 to $37.70/hour
