The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a high-performing finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting month-end processes, and ensuring strong financial governance across the business.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys operating in a collaborative, global environment, and is looking to step into a position that combines technical accounting, process improvement, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Month-End

• Lead the delivery of the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to tight reporting deadlines
• Prepare and review financial results, ensuring integrity and completeness of reporting
• Deliver timely monthly reporting packs and support business performance
• analysis

Balance Sheet & Reconciliations

• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are accurate and fully substantiated
• Investigate and resolve variances or discrepancies in a timely manner

Audit & Compliance

• Manage audit requirements and ensure all requests are delivered within agreed timelines
• Support a clean and efficient audit process
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of financial policies, controls, and procedures

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture
• Partner with internal stakeholders across finance and operations to provide insights and guidance
• Build strong working relationships across global teams

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to enhance processes, systems and reporting efficiency
• Contribute to finance transformation and best practice initiatives

About You

You are a technically strong accountant with a proactive mindset and a genuine interest in developing both yourself and those around you.

Key requirements include:

• CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent)
• Minimum 7+ years' experience in accounting or finance roles
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical capability
• Proven experience managing or contributing to month-end and reporting cycles
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and partner with stakeholders
• Experience in FMCG, retail or a complex, fast-paced environment is highly regarded

Highly desirable:

• Big 4 or mid-tier audit background
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Business Central or similar
